How do I transfer my EmEditor settings to another machine?

EmEditor can save your settings to a file so that you can easily transfer all of your settings to a different machine.

  1. On EmEditor from the machine that you want to export the settings, go to Tools | Import and Export…. Select Export all settings into a registry file and choose a folder to export to.
  2. Copy the exported.reg file and AppData folder to the other machine.
  3. Open EmEditor on the machine that you want to copy to, and go to Tools | Import and Export…. Select Import all settings from a registry file and import the exported.reg file.
